Fic name: Hairline Fractures

Fic snippet:

"Scaramouche tightened his grip on Kazuha’s shirt, pressing him up against the wall harder.

“That. ‘My friend’? Are you stupid or just insane? I ruined your whole family and you’re calling me your friend?”

Scaramouche’s eyes seemed to be glowing softly in the low light of the cave, and Kazuha found he couldn't look away from them. The intensity of his expression mixed with the delicate beauty of his features made whole lines of poetry spring to life in Kazuha’s mind.

There was a moment where Scaramouche’s eyes flicked downwards, and Kazuha wondered if the target of the look had been his lips.

“You’re so fucking confusing and it’s insufferable. I should hate you …but I don’t.”

The final admission came out quieter than the rest, as if he were hesitant to voice it.

How interesting… he felt as if Scaramouche might be an infinite well of fascinating complexities, and he felt driven to investigate each one intimately.

“Then we feel the same about each other,” Kazuha said with a smile.

Scaramouche froze, and Kazuha watched as his expression changed countless times in just a few seconds.

Their faces were incredibly close now, and Kazuha could feel Scaramouche’s breath on his skin.

Just a little closer… "

A teaser for a fanfic in the nsfw kazuscara zine.

"The wanderer thinks about it for a moment—he was going to simply give Kazuha the blanket, but perhaps he could do something else to help.

He drapes it over Kazuha’s shoulders and back, leaving it open at the front for the wanderer to sit down in front of him, his back against his lover’s chest. As he huddles against him, he brings the blanket in front of him, covering them both.

“How sweet of you, my darling,” Kazuha utters as he wraps his arms around the wanderer’s waist, and leans his head against his shoulder. “Sharing your body warmth with me. Now my heart feels warm as well.”

The wanderer nuzzles against him, unable to hide the smile that upturns the corners of his lips. He used to wonder why his body had a natural warmth, despite his nature—but so long as it can help Kazuha in moments like this, he supposes he doesn’t care to know the reason. He basks in this closeness, in the feeling of Kazuha’s heartbeat against his back.

He closes the blanket, trapping this warmth around them. Kazuha lets out a happy hum, his hands straying from his waist to his hips, caressing him through the clothing."
