saw a job posting that said you can join a "zero-tech debt" team... and im not sure that's even possible

I'm really hoping this show of support for tailwind and such isn't just some temporary, performative thing but something that marks a shift for more support to OSS.

It's great to see companies (and people) stepping up, but if it's not a long-term thing, it's not worth anything.

it sucks that everyone defaults to thinking something is from AI. feels like we’re in the era of “AI til proven otherwise” which basically discounts everything people do

The Tailwind situation is a tough reminder: Sustaining high-quality OSS is incredibly hard when your focus is purely on making the open source part better, without a SaaS/business layer to fund it. AI accelerates that pressure by reducing doc traffic and paid conversions.

Apparently I picked a fitting moment to publish this.

I’ve been working with @tannerlinsley.com on performance improvements for @tanstack.com, and a main topic was how ads affect performance.

I wrote a post about it and the tradeoffs with OSS projects.

I just wish more people who benefit off of the work of OSS would financially contribute. The money you save with not having to pay for enterprise software can be contributed to some extent imo

And thank you for pointing out the social icon issue 🤦🏻‍♀️

First post of the year is out~

This year I want to write in public about all my experiences... sharing the good, the hard, and what I’m learning as I go.

I was bringing some of my old blog posts onto my site just so they're all in one place and suffered a whole lot of cringe from how I used to write 🥲

tbh with the new css changes outside of needing to be in another file ive found its been a lot easier/faster to use it over uno or tailwind

I don't really like the lack of a safeguard when using `always approve`. I tried it with some "safer" commands and have ended up in situations where I've had to undo a lot of what it just did and it feels more like a time waste than just rejecting it or approving on a case-by-case basis

while ai can be an okay rubber duck i’m hating letting it do its own thing. i spend more time needing to revert changes than actually getting work done 😩

Hey look at that! TanStack Pacer is in beta now!

Pretty much all of the ideas I had for Pacer originally are in the library now. Now I think it's time for refinement, more framework adapters, and specialized docs.

If you use Pacer, we want to hear your feedback.
