The real problem is that they wanted to take all money into a single account then distribute it on their own end like Patreon does, something that could very easily be illegal without a bank and a lot of legal work. Rahaeli warned them about this years ago and they didn't listen.

Stripe did not 'directly cut them off' they saw a TOS update & assumed it meant they wouldn't be able to use Stripe on a tipping platform. Comradery is a tipping platform that uses stripe, so it is absolutely possible to do that but they were so uneducated about the topic they spread misinformation

Whenever I see it offered, people will often have either have a plaque on the table that says they offer 18+ goods, or a closed portfolio or their books just have a clear 18+ label on them. All require asking before viewing so that the seller can card before-hand.

I was running out of space so I could not add the caveat *Natively* support images.

You cannot upload directly to AO3, you need a third party to host them and then use html to display them. That does not work for many people, especially not those looking for a place to display illustrations.

After cohost's collapse a lot of users jumped to bluesky and didn't return to Pillowfort, but with BS doing as it is, I've seen more activity on PF.

Pillowfort is rebuilding their image posting system which will really help with more widespread adoption because it is, admittedly VERY jank RN.

yeah I have a hobby of checking new services so I go through new services alllll the time and the first thing I do is scour the TOS/Acceptable Use Policy/Community Guidelines.

(like Inkblot and SheezyArt 'technically' allow smut but their rules are so restrictive it's just not worth it)

and by mild privacy i mean you have the option between, public, your page only, and unlisted, for every image you upload.

it's admittedly low on activity, but it's ability to upkeep as an archive is really nice and it has great tag blocking and options to mute or block others.

it's an odd bird, and most of its activity is in a few communities. Right now it's my most complete archive for my art and musings, because it remained unlike the other 'modern' blogs I've used. It was at its most busy before cohost, but then cohost took its audience and well....

Itaku.ee is an art gallery. Its odd, but it's the most pure art gallery option in the list.

It has nested folders and multi-image upload of like 50 at once. Makes it really easy to have a complete archive quickly. They also do tag wrangling for synonymous tags and have mild privacy options

Now that I've given Leyvellete a name and colors, I can make something more serious with her and @doctorgitgud.bsky.social 's Rhode.

Had to draw something a little smutty with the new guy.

He Asked Leyvellete get closer because he 'couldn't hear her' but then yanked her over and up when she was close enough. The 'make me' is playfulness aimed at Leyvellete's tendency to competitively top.
