Every time I see these discussions I think of how absolutely miserable I'd feel if BG3 or Starfield turned out to be one of those "hard difficulty only" games. To be excited for a game and find out you'll have the worst time playing it would suck. They both have 'honor modes', so what's the issue?
it's better on bsky but I still sometimes see the same "simply don't suck" mindset and like
it's exhausting
easier modes change absolutely nothing for people who love the challenge, but they're the *only way* to enjoy a game for literally everyone else

Idk who needs to hear this but holiday times can be shitty for many people for many reasons and even though it's lovely if you can buy from small businesses/creators this time of year, don't feel bad if you can't afford it. It can be expensive and it's okay if your budget is too tight for that!

I don't like yucking other people's yums but it's so sad to see that so many awesome characters and stories have been forgotten and absent from the game for years but yall get a whole ass DLC that's very clearly just promoting another IP and desperately trying to get some cash back.
getting zero story updates for pretty much any character outside of the handful of fan favorites, and then getting an entire DLC revolving around an IP that has nothing to do with the game's universe feels very cash-grabby
