Colleen Jones asked me to interview her a couple of months ago during a chemotherapy appointment.

She told me to write one heck of a story. I hope I did her proud.

About always believing something wonderful is about to happen.

What sad news. She had a huge personality and was so fun to watch. My condolences to her family.

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

A reminder that seven years ago almost to the day, the CIA determined that Mohammed Bin Salman ordered the killing of @washingtonpost.com journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

I hired and worked with Jamal for a year.

A viral online video, which claims to show "Ukrainian soldiers" threaten to kill Charlie Kirk's wife Erika Kirk, is fake.

Not only do the "soldiers" in the clip speak Ukrainian with a notably strong Russian accent, but it has hallmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign known as Storm-1516.

Rule of Law Alert: Trump’s authority for country-specific tariffs comes from the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which doesn’t mention tariffs—but does require a national emergency.

An ad showing that Reagan opposed tariffs surely is not a national emergency. (It may be a personal one)

They have I.C.E. agents. Canada has N.I.C.E. agents. This is fun to watch.
Trent McClellan has the first viral 22 Minutes sketch of the season playing a N.I.C.E. Agent.
Kind of a Talking to Americans in reverse - he went down to patrol the Halifax boardwalk and hand out candy to visiting Yanks.

I'll always remember Suzy Weiss as the high school student who wrote a racist anti-diversity letter to colleges (that her sister, then an editor at WSJ, got published in the newspaper), where she came off spoiled and entitled.
UPDATE: Per our scoop last night, Suzy Weiss, sister of Bari, did indeed appear on CBS this morning to talk about her recent article in The Free Press.

Second Free Press writer on CBS this week.
