Separated from the flock, Jonathan finally had some time for himself. He decided on standing on a rock listening to the lull of the ocean.

The idea of making a reading log is very tempting. Found already some good ones in Robin’s list
It's time to start my 2026 reading log! 💙📚

One thing I love with books is working through them as extended conversations with other minds, that I can live inside of for a time. I hope you'll get to enjoy some of them too.

Freedom is a heavy load, a great and strange burden for the spirit to undertake. It is not easy. It is not a gift given, but a choice made, and the choice may be a hard one.

Frost covered Teasel seedhead. The ovoid shape shows of the Fibonachi sequence. The seeds are an important winterfood for small birds like the goldfinch.

This will be my 7th year No-dig veg gardening. I do have a rotation scedule for the different vegs and by now the earth is full of life and also loose for putting plants in. I only use ash in my berkeley-compost-method. www.helgavanleipsig.com/snel-compost...

So true, works in my garden like that! Last year I even found salamanders in a rotten pile of wood.
Did u know? Having a wildlife garden means minimising waste & re-using as much as poss. Live by the mantra - whatever grows in the garden, stays in the garden. Don't take dead wood or logs to the tip, pile them up in your outside space to create fabulous habitats for all sorts of small souls. 🌿🌱🇬🇧🌱🌍🪲🪵

“Why are men afraid of women?”
“If your strength is only the other's weakness, you live in fear,” Ged said.
“Yes; but women seem to fear their own strength, to be afraid of themselves.”
“Are they ever taught to trust themselves?” Ged asked
“No,” she said.

But each deed you do, each act, binds you to itself and to its consequences, and makes you act again and yet again. Then very seldom do you come upon a space, a time like this, between act and act, when you may stop and simply be. Or wonder who, after all, you are.
