If you want a recommendation for a special occasion meal I can’t recommend Cafe Spice Namaste by Syrus and Pervin Todiwala enough. The welcome, food, drinks and service was wonderful. A Duck Tikka was especially delicious.

It’s been a lovely relaxing couple of days for me and @gamerdrinker.bsky.social with delicious venison for lunch both days and just had some lovely cheese including a really oozy Gorgonzola dolce. All washed down with my favourite champagne, a Moldovan red, a Pet Nat and some lovely beers.🎄🥂🍻🦌🧀

Starting in Crystal Palace today. First stop The Douglas Fir which is now independent but remains a nice Micro pub. Stop 2 was Westow House - we walked in & straight out again. Stop 3 was Hop Scotch Tap - more a cafe than bar but they did have Naughty & Nice by Vocation in cans so that was good.

Great start to the day at Kernel to finally try the Japanese food alongside their lovely beers. The beef gyoza in bone marrow gravy was absolutely delicious (no pics I’m afraid!)

What a fun evening at Wenlock Arms for the @elusivebrewing.com & @unbarredbrewery.bsky.social collab launch. Both the BIPA & Red IPA were good but the blend was even better. After some food we headed to the wonderful Sutton Arms where selection was quite good 🤣

Trip to Kingston today and first stop was Park Tavern. This is a great boozer with 5 cask beers and the two we had were in good condition.
Stop 2 is Park Brew and Kitchen from Park Brewery where the Gallows Pale (Park) and Basque Cheesecake (Yonder) are delicious. Peri definitely approves 🤣

Just had an amazing tasting of Loire region wines at Conway Hall, Holborn. Smaller measures so @gamerdrinker.bsky.social & I managed 60 different wines (no spitting). We managed to pick a couple of faves out of all that, a Pinot de Aunis for me and Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru 2015 for him ❤️🍷
