I wouldn’t even say just in the U.K. but worldwide. Organizations like the Heritage Foundation are watching the situation over there to see what they can get away with and how to get away with it.

I expect it to go away. All that energy simply costs too much money, and once the copyright lawsuits dig their heels in AI is going to be stuck behind some very expensive paywalls, at which point people will realize they’re more productive without it and simply not pay for it.

For many, many years I held off on finishing the original Phantasy Star. I was saving it for some rainy day, but lately I realized it would be an absolute travesty if something did happen and this game that changed my whole life remained unfinished. So I've finally completed it.

Left Reddit a few months ago because the trans groups are full of infighting and the non-trans groups are full of transphobia. Turns out I didn’t need any of that energy in my life and I’m better off opening a book instead of scrolling.

I found out that my dad died on June 6th. Through e-mail. Man this year has really been the worst. 🫠
I knew it was inevitable- he’s had Alzheimer’s a long time and was in a care home, but it still hits hard.

Metroprolol ER gang here lol. It does warn on the label that it may make you drowsy or tired. And it definitely can, though I got used to my recent increase in dose pretty fast. Hang in there.

Nodules are quite common and even if it’s cancer sometimes they can remove half the thyroid and it’s ok. My manager just had that surgery last week.

The other thing that really helped was communication. I was upfront that I’ve had issues with dental procedures before and that I would try my best if they tried their best. I was given the power to stop whenever, and that stopped me from being overwhelmed; I was in control.
