Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

The problem with being trans is that even allies know nothing about us. Because nobody wants to hear us talk, or read our literature, or let us report on ourselves. Our books are banned, our interviews shelved. Cis people write the entire narrative on us - allies and opponents.

When I hear people have asked AI to interpret news stories or digest information for them, it makes my eye twitch.

The "messy" fact is that rivers are a terrestrial lasso of ALL that we control and manipulate on land, in the air, and even at sea. Emissions are just one, though critical, cause. Increased magnitude and frequency of flooding is simply part of "Nature" responding.
