I work for a Minneapolis-based firm. MPLS was and is under attack by the federal government. Hundreds of people are being snatched off the streets. Undocumented immigrants, DACA recipients, asylees, asylum seekers, refugees, lawful permanent residents, citizens.

Power was out to start the day at the conference hotel this morning but the HVAC is kicking now to catch up. Airspot confirms there is good air movement. Unremarkable cup of coffee.

It was very close, but I lost this episode of yarn chicken. If you look close at the mitten on the left, the last two rounds of the thumb are solid red and slightly tighter gauge. Definitely close enough to not fuss over. (It might even look better.)

Christmas Day yarn chicken. I need yarn the length of 34 loops around my middle three fingers to cover 23 rows of colorwork for the thumb. 🧶

While I was macguyvering a spoon for my yogurt I discovered that the hotel fridge froze it. Now I'm breaking up chunks with a knitting needle to simply pick up and chomp.

I needed one more hotel night to keep loyalty status so I bopped around Mpls for a couple days before I drove up north. I like how smudges made my camera have astigmatism looking at the night skyline.
