I'm not sure if it will be canon for me, but I've played with the idea that over the centuries Ani becomes more humanoid like in sentients. To the point where she considers herself Elhi's daughter. Right now she's kinda like a cat or octopus.

I really tried to like the guy when I realized he was a fan favorite. I usually do love characters that have tunnel vision for the MC too. Like I adore Sephiroth. So why???
But I just can't seem to force myself to like him. I've even read introspective fanfics! Nothing clicks!
Yeah. ShB did a good job of letting the wold suffer, canonly. We even see echoPTSD in the trailer! But having Lasting Repercussions? I wish we could have that. But I totally understand why they don't. Because they want the player to have the freedom to decide what & how wold is effected
Hilariously, my character started violently and for all intents and purposes Should see eye to eye with Zenos but he hates the guy so viscerally he can't. Haha.
He hasn't even gone all out in the entirety of DT. And there were Definitely some points where he considered just letting go and showing these idiots what a God Killer really looks like.
Diplomacy, even in Arr, bewildered Elhi at times. But he's grown to see the value of words. Of trying to settle things peacefully first.
Now being so strong, his impulse to ve violent is more of a liability. Luckily, he's not a hothead. And by now he has a pretty good leash on himself. Heck,
Elhi was raised to be a Very traditional Warder. The sort that if they find non Viera in the innermost areas of the Golmore Jungle, they'd kill before asking questions. "Defending" the wood was his purpose.
Then he became a soldier for Garlemald and found he was Really good at this war thing.
They wouldn't have captured him, which led to his conscription.
Alternately. If he Did still get captured and conscripted, he might've been tempered with his team right before arr. Or if he still somehow had the echo, might've returned to base after their deaths instead of wandering off.
He'd probably still be chilling as a Warder in Golmore Jungle. His echo has always been particularly bad for him Because he's Hydaelyn's #1 choice for pawn. If he wasn't, he probably wouldn't have such a powerful echo. Which means he would t have been interrupted mid fight with Garleans & thus
I made a big timeline write up of everything in my wold's life that led up to arr. Very satisfying. I want to do the same for everything since then but I'm super fuzzy on a lot of details. Haha.
Oh. They changed the set up of one of my favorite series in its anime version. Inadvertadly making the ML seem like a groomer. Poor Lucas! One of the reasons I loved the pairing was because they were both fully grown adults with stunted emotional growth, in bodies with child brains. #wmmap
