I'm Christian myself, so all I'll say about him specifically is I hope God is patient and merciful for his sake. He didn't deserve to die the way he did. His family didn't deserve to lose a father and husband. That's as much empathy as I am able to genuinely extend.

I keep seeing posts about how he was a "good Christian man." He objectively was not good. He uses his platform to spread hate of marginalized groups, using Christianity as his excuse for doing so.

Just had THE best solo girl's day: got my hair done, got a new spooky novel at B&N, spent a Christmas gift card at Ulta, had coffee and a scone at my favorite cafe, and found the CUTEST little red dress IN MY SIZE and super discounted because it was the last one at a local boutique.

I will always remember when my neighbor friend got a pet bird and told me its name was "Yago." I was like "Oh, Iago, like the bird in Aladdin?" And she was like "No, like in the song: 'Yago make me lose my mind!" I'm like "...I think he's saying 'y'all gon'.'" She insists "No. It's 'Yago.'"

We had to say goodbye to our Asmo last night. An emergency surgery revealed a congenital issue that couldn't be resolved. I'm shattered, but I'm relieved he's not suffering. He was the sweetest boy.
