I can't say this enough. THIS IS NOT NORMAL. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I had just written a lockdown scene in my script yesterday. It took place in an elem school, and I remember thinking, "but it's not in colleges". WTF. My heart goes out to #Brownshooting victims @ a time they should be young & free
Just saw a Parkland survivor post about being on lock down at Brown University.

I'm just so shaken. I applied to an English program there 23 yrs ago. I just wrote a lockdown scene in my script. I thought, 'but this isn't hitting colleges'. What an insane country this is. Damn these lax #gun laws. My heart goes out to the #Brown community. #Brownshooting
The news out of Brown University is heartbreaking. My heart is with the victims, their families, and the entire campus community. We cannot accept this as normal. We need real action to keep our communities safe.

Excellent piece by @sfgate.com on a cleverly-named cafe in San Carlos, #California. Reminds me of #AshlawnFarm here in Connecticut. They do their roasting at a farm offsite. #GroovyGoose The little California coffee shop crushing Starbucks, one latte at a time www.sfgate.com/food/article...

Lately, I've become obsessed with #PeterFalk, whose career arc is far more fascinating than I'd ever imagined. What's more, I've been staying in #Hartford, and turns out he started his career here. Further, he worked just 5 minutes from where I'm staying. #Columbo Sad he died of #Alzheimers in 2011.

Really disturbed to hear about the shooting of two #NationalGuard near Farragut West Metro, where I was twice this year. They were both shot in the head. This is terrifying. I am so sorry. My thoughts are with them and their families. #DC #shooting www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/m...

Instead of the angry finger-pointing, can we just for one day agree that it is horrible and monstrous to shoot another human? On behalf of my family, we send love to the Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocents who fall victim to senseless gun violence.
