But what about in areas where there are no trees and its too far away to self-seed? In Canada we are propagating trees from seeds sourced from endangered ecosystems and planting them elsewhere in the same bio-region to increase resilience.

Email lists are a great alternative to these platforms which are exploiting our free labor and time, becoming billionaires off our attention.
The internet isn’t neutral— billionaires own these platforms, and it’s important that we stay connected however we can. Get on email lists. Follow the accounts you care about in multiple places, including smaller and/or safer platforms. See the link in our bio for all the places you can find us.

Yes! There are multiple burn piles happening. Some near jordan river and some closer to point no point where they have been clearing private land for development.

Got lucky and came across a burning pile of “wood waste” (tree stumps and root balls) that the logging company set ablaze today. They burn these 2 storey high piles in winter because it won’t cause forest fires (at least for now).

Work in progress: experimenting with transplanting windfall lichens onto an old stump using a staple gun because why not? All these lichen would have decomposed on the ground, but will maybe survive now? #wip #conceptualart #ecologicalart #landart #salvage #art #contemporaryart #lichenart #lichens
