Premier Smith and I have agreed to a framework built on shared ambitions — to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, unlock the full potential of Alberta’s energy resources, and build a stronger, more sustainable, more competitive economy.

We’re disappointed to see the City of Vancouver approve a devastating austerity budget, with no clarity on what services, programs and plans will be cut. Despite hundreds opposing this budget by speaking in person or writing in, Mayor Sim and ABC party chose to push it through anyway.

Forest minister @rparmarbc.bsky.social doesn't have to drive 40 minutes out of his own riding to see the massive clearcuts logging corporations still do across B.C.

He knows the "we don't clearcut like that anymore" argument isn't true, and he repeats it anyways.

Grimly accurate framing here from the local AM station: the minister of forests and the BC NDP government don’t manage these life-giving ecosystems for the hundreds of values they contain, but instead for just one of them, that’s extracted at the expense of the others.

The BC NDP government talks a lot about rebuilding the forest sector, but they don't talk at all about addressing the simple reality that this industry has cut too much, too fast, for too long, in too many places, and that this still continues.

Fast-tracking fossil fuel export projects and pumping public money into a transmission line to power the same has absolutely nothing to do with "resilience."

This is government handouts to corporations and the super rich, nothing else.
It’s time to build the major projects that will move us from reliance to resilience, strengthen our economy, and create high-paying careers across the country.
