I deal with whistleblowers on a weekly basis.

Contrary to how government agencies often talk about them, they are almost uniformly in my experience some of the most committed employees in their organization, frustrated because problems aren't getting resolved by going about it "the right way."
DHS has labeled leakers “a threat” to national security and is pushing to prosecute them.

Yet much of what the public knows about DHS and its agencies, like ICE, is thanks to whistleblowers.

Kennedy Center President Richard Grenell confirmed the closure plans in a Sunday evening email to staff obtained by The Washington Post.

“We will have more information about staffing and operational changes in the coming days,” he wrote.
