Last week we published new research looking into the barriers people face when trying to walk and wheel around the capital 🚶‍♀️ 👨‍🦽

We found that night-time in particular presented its own set of challenges - especially for women and Disabled people #walking #wheeling #walkinglondon

The Bakerloo line’s ageing trains are causing frequent delays. Transport for London says services are improving, but funding for replacements is still lacking. @ldntravelwatch.bsky.social will keep pushing for action and carefully monitoring progress.

Today, London TravelWatch has launched new research into walking and using wheelchairs and mobility aids in the capital. The research, ‘Making space’, found that many issues stop people walking and wheeling more often.

After the war, labour shortages led to the recruitment of workers from the Caribbean, known as the Windrush Generation. Many found employment with London Transport, and their contributions were critical to London’s transport operations.

We were horrified by the attack in Manchester and know many people in London will be affected.
