Most (more premium) mobile devices are pretty accurate though, Apple for example is. I calibrated my monitor using it as guide to alright success.

Personally, I only check my OLED devices to make sure my black levels aren't too crushed and deep fried on them. This is like 99% of the time the biggest culprit in changed-vibes from PC to mobile IME.

Otherwise you can't really control actual color accuracy, even if your local setup is perfect-

IPS has a lot of benefits (better color accuracy when tuned correctly, does not degrade over time) that result in it being used even for professional editing though.

Phones use OLED because they're more energy efficient/contrasty (ie deeper black levels = good at displaying black text, etc).
