I wonder how Pearl Hardman is getting on and if she ever caught up with that French couple who were up the M6 having a ploughman's?? 🤪

It's almost nice that we have a mechanism to confirm who the absolute kn**heads are, no need to second guess anymore, they announce it themselves now...

That ending is so 1980s Granada, absolutely floored me! 🤣😋

@showmeasign.online Can't tell you the number of times I've walked past this little blue boardered beauty! Can't be that many left now in the middle of Manchester 🤔
Picture shows a distinctively old blue boardered traffic sign with a chunky arrow pointing upwards with the text "Infirmary" with a lovely thick blue boarder. Picture was taken on Upper Brook Street in Manchester

I think you need more than that after all that!!! 🤣🤣

It was done because (and I think i've followed it correctly) it was getting to the point where the double arrow was being used absolutely everywhere and was likely to be diminishing it's meaning and visual impact... I'm sure @doublearrow64.bsky.social will be along to correct me anytime now! 😋
leaworrall.bsky.social
Both. The double arrow should only appear on the first running in board on each side, rather than every board that went previously.

Too much of the railway looks "distinctly temporary" so let's hope we might now, finally, be moving in the right direction..! Now let's hope they finally finish off signing Victoria, it looks such a mess with only 1 part of the station redone... 😒

Paging @doublearrow64.bsky.social someone has picked up version 3 of the Wayfinding guidance in the North West! Salford Central has had its second resign in 18 months and looks much better for it.
Picture shows the running in board at a train station in Salford. It is a white plank with a red BR double arrow and "Salford Central" in Rail Alphabet 2 typeface. This is the 1st board at the station and according to version 3 of the wayfinding manual, this is the only point on a platform that a double arrow should appear. Picture shows the running in board at a train station in Salford. It is a white plank with just "Salford Central" in Rail Alphabet 2 typeface. This is one of several boards at the station and according to version 3 of the wayfinding manual, these must not display a double arrow.

JCDecaux are quite infamous in my circle for bus shelters 🙄

The G-Mex ones are still there although there is only one orange parking sign still showing, the rest vinyled over... I assume they also once lit up at night...
Picture shows what were originally orange and brown parking signs. These are in box format, one over the other, with the top one and original orange and white sign with a blue parking P sign, "Central (24hrs)" and a black arrow pointing to the entrance. The former brown sign now has covered over with a black vinyl sticker with white text reading "Parking for Manchester Central" with an orange circle and a white arrow. Reverse of the sign from the previous photo. Both of these have been recovered in black vinyl. Top one has an orange circle with white arrow, a blue parking P sign and "Parking for Manchester Central (24hrs) in white whilst below it now reads "Electric vehicle charging" with a picture of a small car with a plug and an orange circle with a white arrow.

I thought that might have been the case...
leaworrall.bsky.social
Too much to hope that it says "Nynex Arena" originally and MEN Arena was just a patch job too?? 😋
leaworrall.bsky.social
He looks a right tw*t in those 🙄🤣

@showmeasign.online Remember, I called this ages ago! 🤦🤣

Very interesting revelation in
@kitty-donaldson.bsky.social's evening newsletter:

Andrew Gwynne, one of the MPs rumoured to be thinking of standing down to make way for Andy Burnham, has applied to the Commons authorities to retire on medical grounds.

Infact, have just looked on GSV, crikey, that's changed abit!!! 😲 Gonna have to go for a mooch with the pooch now! 😋
leaworrall.bsky.social
I'm guessing its gone now? Just trying to picture the location 🤔
leaworrall.bsky.social
I'd say Great Ancoats aswell...
leaworrall.bsky.social
Nah, it'll be Burnham... he'll be parachuted into a safe seat before the next election and take the reigns from Starmer. That's my punt... 😋
leaworrall.bsky.social
So thick as to be trying to do himself out of work 🤣🤣🤣
leaworrall.bsky.social
They probably think Hi-De-Hi was a documentary 🙄
