What is it like to be old? Answers to this question, including 'I am old but can be very silly and sometimes naughty’ were given by some of the older patients who came through our Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) service last week. This was part of our International Day of Older Persons celebrations.

Did you know there are 3 Community Diagnostic Centres in Leeds?
At Seacroft, Armley and Beeston you can access a whole range of diagnostic tests closer to your home - it's easier and means shorter waits!

All you need to do is take part in a 30-60 minute telephone interview with a researcher.

You will receive £10 for taking part.
You must be:
• Over 16 years of age
• Never had lung cancer
• Currently smoke on a regular basis.
leedsth.nhs.uk
Do you currently smoke?
You could help to develop a lung cancer awareness campaign.
If you currently smoke, researchers would like to hear your thoughts about a new campaign to raise awareness of lung cancer among people who have never smoked.

Most of us find eating a meal with someone more enjoyable rather than eating alone.

This can be tricky in hospital, so we’re recruiting Meal Mates volunteers to help make mealtimes more of a social event for our patients.

Find out how you could help here: www.leedsth.nhs.uk/news/help-ma...
