Nico Daws...come on down!

They each played in both Utica games this weekend (no points in either game, while Halonen had a goal), so I'm not sure that injuries are a factor at this point.

I agree...I thought we might see Scott Lachance instead of Halonen. Maybe he's the next one up if Halonen doesn't play well?

In fairness, the article does refer to ten "New York metropolitan area" teams being covered by the column's writer. That being said, the post omits that rather important detail.

Devils are being very close-mouthed about MacEwen's injury; we should know more once they're back home, and certainly before Thursday's home opener. We'll see Halonen get an extended run now, and we'll learn whether he can play at this level or whether they need to look elsewhere.

Was concerned that the Devils could start 0-3 with that opening stretch on the road, so this is a very good result. Let's get another road win against the Jackets now. 2/2

Luke is playing very well, especially given that he had a late start to camp. Markstrom didn't look sharp at all tonight, but the Devils played very well in their own zone. I expect Allen gets the start in Columbus, with Markstrom getting the start in the home opener. 1/2

Didn't know that MacEwen could skate, and actually contribute to creating pressure in the offensive zone. For at lease one game, he looked good...no need to do a comparison to MacDermid, because he was never expected to do anything except provide a physical presence.

Room for improvement. Carolina’s a top team, so I wasn’t expecting a win…but you can’t play the majority of the game in your defensive end and expect to survive. No real period of extended pressure in the offensive zone. That will change.

It's always held its position tonight.

From Pesce...who's had a tremendous night. Through Jack (who I though got a slight misdirection on it, but the official scorer says otherwise).

More likely, though, when another stick is chopping down on top of it. That was more than a mere touch.

He did break the 'Cane stick.

Those “jackwagons” embarrassed your team in the first two games of this series, and dominated your guys in a bullpen game tonight…so maybe just tip your hat and move on.

Question: Why aren't her constituents, through the New Mexico Democratic Party, bringing suit against Johnson for interfering with their right to be represented by their duly-elected Congresswoman? File a suit with a writ of mandamus to compel him to do his job!

Been waiting for someone to point this out....

Doesn't sound like a denial....

I strongly object to the comparison many are making these days between Stephen Miller and Joseph Goebbels.

I think it's deeply misguided, and unfair, to compare them.

Goebbels was a far better propagandist, and didn't execute much policy.

Miller far more closely resembles Heinrich Himmler.

I'm thinking that today's coaching staff obliteration is, in part, intended to send a message to Carlos Mendoza. He's definitely on the hot seat for the 2026 season, and will likely not survive a slow start. The coaching staff, and this team, will look a lot different come spring training.
