This pic is the explanation for everything going wrong.

It is all entirely because America is unwilling to tell Republicans and conservatives "no" or give them consequences.

And that is because we have a psychotic hangup about telling Democrats "yes", even if it's just so we can tell Repubs "no".
I often wish there was some special tag you could put on things to indicate "I am telling you this to give you basic factual information and background, not because I want advice, compliments, or a pep talk."

I really wish what would happen is Bluesky makes it so you can enable reposts on Feeds.

As on Twitter I had no problems with mutual following everyone because I could make Lists galore to actually read.

But here Feeds don't show reposts, which kinda sucks as I follow many good curators.
November 10, 2025 at 10:03 PM
Also FYI the reason I limit quotes and replies on a lot of my posts to followers only, is I get tired of far leftists loving to quote and reply not with good faith discussion but with trolling, insults, logical fallacies, etc.

I don't have the bandwidth to deal with people being assholes anymore.

OK, just had one of my followers go bugnuts at me.

They thought I had unfollowed them, when I actually had never followed them in the first place. I explained it's because I'm a wacko who actually reads all of my following feed, so I have to be really picky to keep the feed at a size I can read.

SCOTUS turning down Kim Davis is the only actual intelligent and serious political take I've seen all day.

Honestly, whatever, I'm back to "unhappy resigned apathy" about what happens because Americans are too crazy and dumb to ever do what's necessary to fix anything so there's no point in having any hope it will get fixed.

Just sucks us intelligent sane people who did the right thing gotta suffer too.

Murc's Law has become the default state of politics. It's almost never about openly rewarding Republicans for being corrupt psychopaths, but punishing Democrats for not living up to cartoon superhero standards in terms of action and/or moral purity that the Republucans get a complete pass on.
November 10, 2025 at 5:01 AM
Why do so few people see this the way I do?

To me the concepts of "Democrats are better than Republicans and so aren't the ones who need to change" and "Repubs are terrible as we keep rewarding them for being terrible, so stop doing that" are obvious, yet I get treated as crazy when I point it out.
November 10, 2025 at 4:40 AM
If you're wondering why my response to the 2025 election was muted, the whole "wow, known conservative Democrats from known conservative states voted conservative, I now hate the entire Dem Party because they planned to betray us and will let Republicans stay in power to send Dems a message" is why.

As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote.

I don't make these "it's just the Blue Dogs" distinctions because I'm a Democrat apologist or whatever.

I make them because when we dumbassedly blame all Democrats for intentionally elected conservative Dems, we don't fix the actual problem, which is intentionally voting for said conservative Dems.

Democrats considering voting w/ Republicans:

Janeen Shaheen (NH)
Jon Ossoff (GA)
Gary Peters (MI)
Mark Kelly (AZ)
Maggie Hassan (NH)
Peter Welch (VT)
Tammy Baldwin (WI)
Elissa Slotkin (MI)

This isn't "the party". It's Dems from red states or in Welch's case, a long history of working w/ Blue Dogs.
November 10, 2025 at 1:40 AM
Everyone in the comments is of course right on schedule blaming the entire Democratic Party for what is the entirely predictable actions of conservative Blue Dog Democrats who were elected to be conservative Blue Dogs by conservative states.
Dems have spent the past two months saying they're fighting to address the crisis of spiking healthcare costs and now they're caving for a deal that does nothing to address healthcare costs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
November 10, 2025 at 1:17 AM
Convos I've been having lately have made me think the reason we're having these unproductive "how do Democrats change to win" convos is the uncomfortable fact 2024 America was empirically factually wrong about reality, so the only way Dems could have won was to lie. And nobody wants to admit that.

If President Trump wants to punish states for feeding hungry Americans, we’ll see him in court.

We’re working with @massago.bsky.social to make sure everyone gets the benefits they’re owed. Trump should focus on reopening his government instead of fighting to take food away from families.

Every state should middle finger this and see how Trump tries to jail those who want to simply feed hungry Americans.

Next on the MCU: The Avengers.

Was reminded how much this movie is just the classic comic book "this plot could have been averted had the superheroes just communicated with each other" plot.

I get part of it is Loki screwing with everyone, but, man.

Also I regret Ruffalo never got a Hulk movie.
