Nature and politics fan-girl. 🦘 Pretty-much obsessed with the tawny frogmouths I share my backyard with. Voting yes was the least we could do, given everything, yet we couldn’t even fricken manage to do that. Privileged to be living in Meanjin, Australia.

Honest to god, they’re the bloody best! Mr Tawny and the kids were the ones enjoying a bike ride today.😀
Gee that AO women’s final was great! So pleased that Rybakina won.

Just walked past a bloke sitting outside a pub who was wearing a One Nation MAGA cap. As I walked past him, I said, ‘That’s the dumbest fucken cap I’ve ever seen.’

Just watched a screening of all four episodes of Bush Mechanics at the State Library of Qld this arvo. Haven’t seen it since it was on the ABC 25 years ago. So good!

Just so lovely to watch.
Vale, Catherine.❤️
When Canada gave Catherine O’Hara a big award, her Schitts Creek co-star Noah Reid serenaded her with this. 👇

Sad there’ll be no more unforgettable comedic characters from this majestic actor but very glad to have her wonderful catalogue to dip into.

Picked up an old manuscript in an op shop of what is bloody great feminist anthem (though interestingly, written by two blokes). Inside was a page of sketches offering a window into the world of, I’m guessing, a teenage girl circa 1964. ♥️

In an ugly, chaotic world, thank god Arnotts still produces a Qld-specific ginger nut that’s markedly different from and indisputably superior to the ginger nuts they sell in other states. Feel truly sorry for those who are forced to endure poor cousin, interstate ginger nuts. 😀
Ginger nut state of origin: Whose side are you on?
From colour, texture and taste to packet size and labelling, ginger nut biscuits differ across the country.

I just couldn’t get enough of this swirly, contour-liney, pattern-rich sand art near the mouth of Maroochy River at low tide late yesterday arvo. Thanks, natural world, for this exquisite surprise.

Completely inappropriate for ABC Sport to run an interview during the cricket tea break with a spokesperson for athletes pushing for a Royal Commission. No other perspectives canvassed - just a platform handed to one side of the argument on a silver platter. Appalling.
