What are we fighting for? A "return to normal"? Really, I don't think "normal" was good enough, though a lot of us didn't see its flaws when we had it. Because it led to our present situation. But also because it was already causing wars, poverty, climate change, and other unnecessary ills.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

WHAT IS HUMAN NATURE? I think it's time for us all to revisit that question. We are capable of more friendship, sharing, collaboration. And we NEED more of those, or else soon ALL of us (even the rich) will die, from ecosystem collapse and/or nuclear war.

Actually, sociopaths and psychopaths get rewarded by their brains when they do things that break social mores and codes. Trump enjoys causing others harm and pain - there are myriad examples, but watching him make fun of people is the simplest tell.

I finally watched "Captain America: Brave New World." [SPOILERS AHEAD] That was in theaters in Feb 2025. I can't help wondering if the film's monster president wrecking the White House was part of the inspiration for our real-life monster president wrecking the W.H., which began in Oct 2025.
