No to capitalism, fossil fuels, Russophobia, imperialism, ICE, NATO. Yes to Palestine Action, Antifa Jesus, https://radindiemedia.com/. Don't believe accusations against USA's alleged "enemies."

The cultural change that our civilization needs (more empathy and friendship) is connected to an economic change (more sharing and collaboration). The people who claim "greater individualism and separateness bring higher achievement" are mistaken.

The only laws from God and Jesus about borders in the entire Bible, Old and New Testament, are the commandments to welcome the stranger and treat the alien as one of your own.

Jesus Christ, how the MAGA hates Jesus Christ.
Q: Pope Leo cited Matthew 25:35 to critique Donald Trump's mass deportation agenda. How would you respond to Pope Leo in scripture?

MIKE JOHNSON: Sovereign borders are biblical and right and just. It's not because we hate the people on the outside. It's because we love the people on the inside.

What are we fighting for? A "return to normal"? Really, I don't think "normal" was good enough, though a lot of us didn't see its flaws when we had it. Because it led to our present situation. But also because it was already causing wars, poverty, climate change, and other unnecessary ills.

this is a very cool thing to do and also highlights one of the biggest keys to Zohran's appeal: he just thinks New York City is really neat

people who live somewhere want to vote for someone who likes it there and wants to make it better, not someone who wants to use it as a springboard
It’s your city, from the sidewalk to the skyline. The David Dinkins Municipal Building’s rooftop is open & free to everyone, starting this June.

My leaflet briefly explains many terrible ills of capitalism. I suspect that capitalism also makes fascism inevitable, but I have not yet found a brief explanation of that. Can you?

The current leaflet above fits on two sides of 4.67 inches by 8.5 inches (a third of a “legal”-sized page). It’s for people who are new to questioning capitalism. I hand out copie…

Two easy ways to REDUCE YOUR TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS. 1. Compose your ideas in Word or Open Office or Libre Office. Before posting, use the spell checker, which also catches some grammatical errors. 2. Run your ideas through a text-to-speech program (I use Balabolka); you will hear most errors.

Putin has promised, just let him denazify Ukraine, and (unlike the USA) he will not overthrow Guatemala, Libya, Hawaii, Chile, Iraq, or Iran.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

WHAT IS HUMAN NATURE? I think it's time for us all to revisit that question. We are capable of more friendship, sharing, collaboration. And we NEED more of those, or else soon ALL of us (even the rich) will die, from ecosystem collapse and/or nuclear war.

Actually, sociopaths and psychopaths get rewarded by their brains when they do things that break social mores and codes. Trump enjoys causing others harm and pain - there are myriad examples, but watching him make fun of people is the simplest tell.

Stop sanewashing.

"Reforms" or "training" will not improve a military force whose mission is all wrong. "Reforms" or "training" will merely bring them to carry out that wrong mission more effectively.

"Can't we just bomb Iran into being more free, more civilised, more like us?" Asks the entire West without even a hint of irony, self awareness or historical context.

Capitalism is the economy of "me first." Formerly, that merely caused great unnecessary suffering for most of the world. Most of us believed the stories told by the rich. But now capitalism is about to kill us all (even the rich, though they don't see it), by ecosystem collapse and/or nuclear war,

Trump is NOT stupid. He might seem so, but only because his goals and morality are very different from yours and mine.

I finally watched "Captain America: Brave New World." [SPOILERS AHEAD] That was in theaters in Feb 2025. I can't help wondering if the film's monster president wrecking the White House was part of the inspiration for our real-life monster president wrecking the W.H., which began in Oct 2025.

They have declared war on us, and they are killing us. Perhaps we should start fighting back.

(But not me, I am old and disabled.)

This is excellent political messaging. @zackpolanski.bsky.social hits straight to the core of the problem. This system is intolerable and it must be overcome: production should be organized around human well-being and ecology, not around maximizing profits for the rich.
Help us make hope normal again.
