Our final stop in #Puglia, our second last in #Italia before returning home on Sunday we made a sprint across the region back to the coast to visit the port town of #Monopoli which we missed first time around due to inclement weather. Weather much more agreeable today. Lovely little town.

Northern #Puglia is quite different from further south. Whereas the Valle d’Itria is all vineyards and olive groves, it seems wheat fields are the norm further north. Gorgeous all the same.

The Ponte Acquedotto sul torrente Gravina in the town of Gravina Di Puglia. A stone bridge built in the 18th century. The wall on one side of the bridge is higher than the other because it hides an aquaduct in the wall which brings water across the ravine from a spring on the far side.
