I read the essay. There isn't a single study quoted to support the view that family life is being damaged by screentime. Also no mention of the use of technology for maintaining relationships over long distances or for people who find person interactions difficult. (1)

There's a video on FB of a women with a high risk pregnancy, whose Dr has told her to go stay somewhere out of State, as her baby may die in utero and they will not be able to take it away due to Texas abortion law. So, she could die of sepsis.
