I think I never noticed because despite the fact that I kept all the boxes my games came in, I stashed those away in a drawer and only ever handled the cartridges. I barely looked at those, either, as they moved from sleeve to console

These days they still use the second one, but it says "Official Nintendo Seal" because they no longer guarantee quality

Somehow I never noticed that Nintendo changed their seal in 1989

The Nintendo Seal of Quality, 1985-1989. It's round, with a black background. It says "This seal is your assurance that Nintendo has approved and guaranteed the quality of this product."

Nintendo Seal of Quality, 1989-1994. It's oval, and reads "Official Nintendo Seal of Quality."

Cleaned up my drawing studio, at long last.

Caught a minor, but itchy, case of folliculitis—on my inner forearms & top-of-thigh, due to carrying stacks of too-long-untouched stacks o'stuff I had to remove & sort—but other than that, Phase 1, accomplished.

His rules are so long as any arm of Nintendo published it in any territory, he's going to beat it. Contra was published by Nintendo directly in some markets

I've been watching this YouTube series where this young fella is trying to beat every game Nintendo has ever published, starting with their arcade stuff from the 70s. Most episodes still have less than a thousand views but I think he's making fun videos! He's up to Contra as of today!
