Decided to stand outside the door of the ice field office in San Francisco at 630 Sansome street, just to see what would happen. It’s been an hour and a half, a security guard came out and told me the cops were coming and I should leave. I’m on the sidewalk!

I'm trying out a new rating system at the Baduk club I run, I'm hoping for feedback on the algorithm.
New rating = old rating + .04*(opponent's rating - player's rating) + [4*(# of handicap stones given by player)] ± 16
Initially all players will start at 1000 regardless of their dan/kyu rank.

I learned Baduk from my Dad, became passionate about it through watching Hikaru no Go, then played in a club in college, then started a club when I moved back to the East Bay. Now I’m teaching kids to play in an afterschool program, and started showing them Hikaru no Go. Feels very full-circle!

My dream for Baduk is that I could bring a board and a folding table to any public park/roomy sidewalk, and get a game within an hour. What would that take?
1: Baduk becoming 20x more popular
2: cities investing in water fountains and public bathrooms, so people can spend time in public spaces
