SCOTUS rulings have ALWAYS been politics by another means. When you have a brief, old document filled with undefined concepts (equal protection or due process anyone?) and an all powerful judiciary whose interpretation is law it is going to be abused. But it is what it is, until the country implodes

The big problem with academics is they categorize everything and apply strict definitions - if it doesn't fit a category or definition according to them it isn't it. Which is how academics miss a lot of things because experts don't want to learn anything new because then they wouldn't be experts

My mother always made a big batch of pierogis for the winter holidays. I make them myself sometimes when I have a bad taste for them and since I no longer live in Chicago or Minneapolis (Kramarczuks Sausage - very, very good) I have to make them myself.
