Fantastic day yesterday at the City Chambers, with the first meeting of the Gender Strategy group for what will be a 6 year council project. Well done Ava, Joy, Milisa and Sophie. We are excited to see what you do as a team over the next six years 😀

We need patience in our school garden at the mo-weeding to be done, 🌱but our trustygardeners arrived with bundles of enthusiasm and new stories to tell. We were joined by Evie from Urban Roots sharing knowledge on seed saving.

Fun afternoon planting lettuce with some new S1 gardeners, full of enthusiasm. Shared stories of planting olive trees in Syria, harvesting, washing and drying out the olives in the sun ready to cure, and about planting potatoes last spring in Glasgow and having them with dinner last weekend!

Today brought rain so a good day for our gardens to spend some time sampling some local seasonal fruits and some vegetables that can be grown on your windowsill this time of year. Pak Choi and salads today!

An afternoon of seeds, weeds and good deeds at Gardening Club today 🌱🌿

Harvesting sunflower seeds. It’ll be a mighty crop next season! 🌻🌻In amongst those pesky weeds we’ve spied a little cheeky beetroot. I wonder what else is hiding in there? 🙀Join us next week.Gardening gloves provided and learn how to make bramble and apple jam from brambles you can find locally !

Thank you to our wonderful senior Sustainability Leaders who presented at S1 assembly today about Eco Schools and our reusable Holyrood bottles. Everyone is welcome to join our Eco Committee and we hope to see some new faces ♻️🤩

Our Sustainability Leaders started working on updating our Eco Code today. We also tidied our plot in the patio and planted some new flowers, then prepared some other plots ready for planting. Brilliant work 🌱🌻
