Today Cheffins sold Rosalba Carriera's "Portrait of Coulson Fellowes (1696-1769)" for £400K; the estimate range was £15–25K. The result represents an auction record for artist.

An 18th-century portrait in a gold frame of the head and chest of a white man wearing a white cravat and brown jacket. The man's body is turned toward the left edge of the artwork; his face is turned over his left shoulder to gaze directly at the viewer.
