aside from the meat of the essay, which is as we say “great fucking food” btw! A thing I appreciate so much abt Miche’s voice & words, is the way she articulates how/why we do what we do as astrologers; shit just works! it’s not an easy role but we ball anyway for the love of the game. ball is life!

the historical origins of psychology can be traced to Franz Mesmer, who begins a pretty fascinating legacy on energetic work (and then eventually the conscious vs/ unconscious) with a defense on the planets, their connection to newtonian physics, and gravity. everything is astrology

editing the final paper i wrote for block 1 of my premasters on the astrological paradigm, it'll be up on the blog soon! i go through every planetary sphere in chaldean order, bringing up examples of how the planets have shown up in history, and how everything really is all about astrology

just realized that the three closest planets to earth in chaldean order exalt in fixed(moon)/mutable(mercury/venus) signs, and then upwards from there, the rest of the trad planets exalt in cardinal signs (sun/mars/jupiter/saturn)

i also think the reason why astrology is incompatible with modern science is bc, while consistent in many ways, astrology is inherently contradictory in nature, and very attuned to people's individual, subjective experience of the world,

people want concrete proof of astrology in the same way they're seeking proof of the soul. there is no concrete proof. you just have to believe, and experience. and once you do, that's where the magic happens, that's where the muses find the poets, and why we still talk about Plato's work today

mars and venus are social planets, they represent what happens when we have to live among others, in relationship with others, yet also have distinct, individual selves

Ok so my brain is mush and I‘m not really able to formulate the difference between, let‘s say, 1H ruler in the 10H vs 10H ruler in the 1H. Yeah, career and self are somehow related, but what‘s the nature of this connection in these two different scenarios? Can anybody put this into words please

1H ruler in 10H means embodied action and agency and choice making happens in quite a visible place
