Market concentration → Less competition → Higher prices for consumers → Corporate profits at 70-year high → Record stock buybacks → Higher shareholder value → More power for corporations and the rich.

How do we fight back? Break up monopolies and rebuild union power.

This is authoritarian rot in plain sight. A DOJ weaponized against “enemies” of a sitting president isn’t law enforcement — it’s vengeance. That’s how democracies die: not overnight, but when power decides dissent is a crime.

To these people, “Politics is broken”, “Britain is now ungovernable” and “We’re now trying and failing to enforce the Thatcherite consensus with a veneer of public consent” are all the same thing. And it can’t really be explained, unless it’s Russian Facebook or whatever.

In the more than four years since the state of Texas significantly restricted access to abortion, medical researchers have been studying the health effects of that policy change.

Trump had another embarrassing Helsinki moment by declaring in his presser with President Zelensky that Putin & Russia want Ukraine to succeed.
How effing dumb does Trump think people are? Does he think everyone is as weak & stupid as he is?
Trump's a Russian asset & that's no longer debatable!

So in spring, Pam Bondi said there was nothing to the Epstein investigation, then “closed” it. Now, they “find” 1 million more docs.

So did she close this without seeing these docs? Or was someone hiding them?

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

I say his gently, but…

There’s something unspeakably shameful The United States letting people go hungry.

Not because its government doesn’t fix it —

but because tomorrow a few private Americans could, and never notice the cost.

That’s the part that sits wrong.
