"Rarely have we had a moment of respite," he replies as he leans forward. "Now one has been granted to us." The words click in the broker's mind. A quiet realization, but one he still aimed to confirm. "Haha... I see..." the broker muses. "What do you propose?" He feels fingers brush against his as his partner begins to move ever closer. "... To indulge in some of your time," he answers. Gently, he felt his partner lift his hand; allowing the motion to continue.

i love the snail shamans from Hollow Knight
this is my OC, Glump
A snail in the Hollow Knight style, depicted with red coral growing upon his shell. He is hunched over with squinting, mischievous eyes and bears a staff topped with a fossil. His name is Tidal Seer Glump. Dialogue reads: "Koho! Long way from the shore, are we? I trust you know how to swim then? Or have you, too, been swept away?" A large ammonite/fossil home nestled within the outcrop of a large fossil deposit. It is illuminated by an unseen light, draped with old fabrics to serve as its door. This is a sketch concept. Text reads: Farshore Haven Located in the nook of a fossil outcrop, Farshore is a home to the mischievous shaman known to some as the "Tidal Seer". He lives within the shell of an ancient beast lost to time, and is used to lost travelers and thieves bothering his work. Inside his home he crafts tools with the intent to enchant them with old spells. Each tool is ensured to work of course. Its power is dependent on one's ability to... fish. Bugs that promise to bring trouble to the shaman are free to linger for however long they wish. Should trouble arise, they are quickly found at the receiving end of one of his dangerous spells. (Hornet sprite is to scale for both the shaman and the snail's size.)

I think if more people knew what concept art actually was, concept artists wouldn't be losing their jobs at a frankly ridiculous pace.

I blame the fact that people market game art books as concept art when 90% of what's in there are polished marketing illustrations.

It sets a bad idea.

Varra, my Silksong weaver OC
In the citadel, a weaver walks through the wreckage of the Rumbling from the void. It is quiet, and Varra begins to contemplate. "I can scarcely recall the feeling that now rushes over me." She thinks, gazing at the walls. "Here where everything began... and ended." A wet Varra next to a Hornet. She then shakes out all the water like a dog, getting Hornet all wet while she becomes a puff ball. A reference for Varra showing her height in comparison to Hornet.
