I think he's referring specifically to using the force in the movie. A lot of it is mental. He was trying to tell Luke he couldn't pull his X-Wing our of the swamp unless he was sure he could. Doubt would be a problem.

I miss the Gameboy/ds/3ds line of systems.

It was nice having this cheaper line of video game systems that would receive new games, but both the systems and games were less high-tech and less expensive.

It only let me pause them for a maximum number of days. So on November 4th I think the pause ends (unless there's a way to disable Windows Update completely, and I want to do that.)

I can choose to trigger an update before that if I want, I think. But I can also drag out the inevitable.

Until today. Now the only button said to install Windows 11. With no way to dismiss it, and any restart or shut down might start an update.

Now I assume I'll have to update to Windows 11 eventually, but considering they are trying to force me, I went down in the window and paused updates.

If you right away go to Windows Update and it's an attempt to trick you into updating to 11, there will be this banner there telling you Windows 11 is ready for you. --and there's also a button there to stay on Windows 10 as part of the banner.

I notice every once in a while, Windows Update tries to trick you into updating to Windows 11 accidentally. It'll say there's an update, and there's blue instead of orange in the taskbar.

I think if you restarted or shut down your computer then, it would trigger an update to Windows 11.

I feel like there's a percentage of people online trying to provoke people to act before the deadline, and then another group telling people they might be okay with Windows 10 for months or years. Partly, I thought about waiting just to see if Mircosoft forced the update on the last day.

I do worry that Microsoft will eventually drive a large percentage of people away pushing AI into Windows. It might not be with Windows 11, but maybe 12.

I do manage some family members computers that can't upgrade officially, so I might try Linux Mint for them? They only use the web browser.

Not a huge problem in the grand scheme of things, but I'm still deciding what exactly to do when Windows 10 support ends. My computer can upgrade, and while in a way I'd rather give Linux a chance (I already use Krita to make my comic)- but there's a one app I need enough that is only Windows.

I guess I never replied here, I must have just meant to reply... They are talking about the people from the very beginning of the story, almost 600 pages ago. Hypnos and Charlotte where already freed.

I'm sure I'll eventually have another website again, and you're going in the direction I would (not using Wordpress). I'd have flat html, and then something small and automatic for the back/next pages for the comic. That way I could have a backup of the whole site on my computer.

I was going to suggest that one, but someone beat me to it. There's also this one- github.com/DaVince/comi... which is a newer version of what I used once. It's very basic, you just put the images in a folder, and style the one page. It only has navigation on either top of bottom, not both.

hey look, more OLD art. This is around 1996 for my comic book Anomalic. A mutated bear creature called a "khromin" approaches the farmlands outside the city of Andrux. That's supposed to be a walled city there but I got really lazy about it.
