Not doing more, and at the people who constantly speed on my street and run over these stray cats so often, at the lack of resources my city has for all these stray cats.

And today I found out she was hit by a car and passed. I know it's not my fault but there's a sense of guilt I can't shake for promising to look after her and having taken her kitten away. It's these moments like these that feel the most unfair. I also feel so angry, at the situation, at myself for

Extra attention and look after her as best as I could and eventually TNR her. Since she was feral it took a bit to get her to trust me but I would feed her wet food and she started letting me pet her. She was very sweet once she trusted me. It's been a week since the kittens were placed elsewhere

I know this might seem dramatic to some, but she was the closest thing I'll ever get to having a child of my own. Grieving her has been one of the hardest things for me. In a way though, I feel peace that she doesn't have to live in such a cruel world.
