I feel sorry for the kids. This is a preventable disease. And people are being very narrow-minded and short-sighted. When you choose not to vaccinate your kids, they're going to get diseases that are preventable. This is going to require visits to the doctor or hospital, that you can't afford.

Anti-vaxxers often overlook that state public health agencies have authority to keep unvaccinated kids out of school during an infectious disease outbreak.

These are often the same people who said they were deeply concerned about children’s mental health during pandemic-related school closures.

A producer and editor for WGN-TV was violently forced to the ground this morning by two Border Patrol agents, before having her hands cuffed behind her back, during an ICE action in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Debbie Brockman has worked for the local television station since 2011.
