A glimpse of something I'm working on...

Your advertising of carbonara has worked, I am now hungry.

“I’m old enough to remember when mainstream British politicians, who should know better, stirred up racial hatred as a path to power. You’re old enough to remember too because it was last Tuesday. And it was Robert Jenrick”

Cathartic anger at flag-flying racism.

What do you do with a lot of cheap banners hanging from motorway bridges once you’ve torn them down?

He was a brilliant comedy writer, Black Books is amazing, Father Ted was great, it's such a shame how weird the man has become, you'd almost feel sorry for him but after seeing him make fun of a mentally ill vulnerable child that took their own life, f him.

Sad old git.
limneticvillains.bsky.social
He's trying to scare whomever he's fighting with.

Honestly, I only know bits and bobs, I think he's better off ignored, he's obviously not right in the head with how obsessed he is, life is too short, it's quite tragic how this one topic has absorbed him.

Oh I hope a trans person gets the gig and just laughs at him.

Amusingly, what's Graham going to do, demand to see their genitals before they start work?

'Graham, it's going to take me a week to read half this social media stuff, I charge 500 a day...'
limneticvillains.bsky.social
'Lets have a cheap laugh at the mentally ill child's death'

That's literally the level he's on.

Dude goes about saying he cares about children and womens rights, he doesn't give a fuck, he just hates the concept of trans people.
limneticvillains.bsky.social
Why is anybody speaking about a dead child like this?

This isn't some 'haha what an evil Charlie Kirk or Ian Watkins' situation, this is a literal kid not yet 18 who needed help in multiple ways, but instead Graham Lineham uses the childs tragedy as an attempted comedy prop as part of his obsession

This is Graham Linehan, who UKLabour, WesStreeting and every columnist in the country rushed to defend when he was arrested by police, after inciting online violence and smashed a trans girl’s phone. They are even changing the law specifically to protect him. “Just a joke” @mrjamesob.bsky.social

£3000 pound wont get him very many hours work from any decent PI, and after what, looking at hours and hours of internet drama and bullshit the PI is going to go and try trace random internet people so GL can try sue them? Silly stuff.
limneticvillains.bsky.social
That took far too long.

What an utterly vile scumbag.

I hope it was slow.

Had a lovely time at a birthday shindig tonight with some really nice folk, some good conversations about sci fi and such, The Expanse, Foundation, Dark Matter, and some weird ones about a dude called Mr. Sausage that makes sausages out of everything. Fun.

We look back on people & organizations that stayed “neutral” or “above politics” under fascism as key collaborators in helping the regime to cause so much suffering to so many.
limneticvillains.bsky.social
There's musicians and artists that won't say anything political because they're either too scared to, or they think they'll lose followers, which is fucking pathetic.

A good rule of thumb.

But also, don't be nice to people you find out are awful.

I recognized a kind of tremolo and reverb in a Billy Ilish song years ago and told my other half it was done on stock Logic plugins and I looked it up and there was an interview with the brother saying exactly that, ha.

If you're not American or in America why are you using the term racism in the same way American academics use it?

I have nothing to reconsider, I'm talking facts about terminology.

I do not agree with the American Academic version of the definition, I agree with the internationally recognised one.

While I'm sure they consider themselves leftists, to me these people are incredibly conservative, and while not right wing in some ways, they are extremely right wing and pent up in other ways.

An odd pocket of people for sure, and very angry too.
limneticvillains.bsky.social
I'm quite intrigued by what I'm seeing actually, a mixture of self described 'single cat ladies' and men and women over 50 that seem to be in unhappy marriages.

All of them enjoy piling on to various people they disagree with.

Middle America PTA angry mums and Sparkle Motion come to mind.

I have now also discovered that the group of literal white 'knights' that didn't like me talking about the differing definitions of racism are all in one group, they are a mixture of zionists and veteran American military people, who claim to be on the left side of things politically.

They're odd.

I can't wait to read about this period of time in a couple of decades, I'll wait until then to find out what the fuck was going on.

Glad you got into it!

I didn't find the lighting particularly dark.

I enjoy it because it gets weirder as it goes on, and Empire, especially Brother Day in his various time periods is always compelling to watch.
