Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 79th day out of the last 91.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

Trump is a threat but so are the Ellisons taking over media and SCOTUS gutting the VRA. Those have a much more tangible effect of entrenching a permanent minority rule by Republicans that will outlast Trump. There's really no organized and concerted effort to counter this.
