Bad Dye Job
It might have made some sense to bring someone from the fashion/brand world to lead software design for Apple Watch, but it sure didn’t seem to make sense for the rest of Apple’s platforms. And the de...

The process of putting in infrastructure is interesting. Missed them actually transitioning lines over to these new poles but this spaghetti mess is what's here until they get it connected up to the power station presumably.

It’s true. We shouldn’t pretend that. Trumpist culture is not the same as American culture and not equal. Trumpist culture is proudly ignorant, defiantly against America’s founding values and subsequently developed values, venomously bigoted, and generally despicable.
Fox News' Will Cain: "I’m sure there are very honorable law-abiding upstanding citizens and contributors from the Somali community here in the United States, BUT..."

He goes on to say "we aren’t going to pretend here that all cultures are of equal value or the same."

The official policy of the Trump Administration is ignorant bigotry. We’re asked, under principles including charity, to assume that people support the administration despite that policy, not specifically because of it. I am increasingly unwilling to extend that charity.

A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests

truly this policy was one of the best things about working at The Verge, more outlets should refuse to allow unnamed spokespersons - for any entity- to comment “on the record”

Good bit for the weekend is we replaced the grandmother’s laptop. Goodbye 10 year old machine that BSODed and hello something current. Also did the basic updates, checking for updates again, and again, remove McAfee, and sign into the MSA where some of her files live. 🤓

Ah, yes, it's the social media, not the parents who buy radar detectors so they can speed at will, complain about drivers going slow, and bitching about every other human on the planet. I wonder where they get bad influences. 😑
