Just returned from The Rocky Horror Show at the Gladstone. It was so good!! Perfectly cast, well produced, the music, the singing, the costumes… you could see it was labour of love 💋 I would recommend you get tickets but it’s sold out 👠

Now to re-learn and practice Italics. I am starting with a parallel pen with a cartridge of fountain pen ink (J Herbin’s ‘Poussiere de lune) and Strathmore drawing paper with guidelines on. No dipping or reloading a nib, just focusing on the letter forms right now.

The Speedball Textbook 23rd edition opened to the page showing an Italic exemplar. Beside the book is a Pilot parallel pen with an orange cap signifying a 1.5 mm nib.

Finally making progress on my Christmas card design that I came up with last April 🌕🌑 I have been saving the stamps Canada Post had to commemorate the total solar eclipse in 2024.

Finally downloaded Halide for my iPhone, the fact that it has a 30s timer is an option I have missed from my iPhone 4S & Camera+ (I hope Lisa Bettany is doing well🇨🇦) days. Maybe there were options since, but I didn’t look too hard and I wasn’t doing much self-portraiture in the last decade.
