Blizzard's Overwatch look (that all MOBAs took after) was 120% adapting Capcom / Platinum / SNK art to FPS.

But now Street Fighter is very western audience overthinking, few new stylized art games. Overwatch 2 is in ecosystem where everyone copies O1, stagnant.

However, I think it's much more likely that the inspiration for Doomfist was Sieger from Samurai Shodown 2.

Next up! So given the overall similarities of the cast, it's very easy to draw a direct line between Roadhog (2016) and Oinkie from Anarchy Reigns (2012). Both are big, ample bellied tanks with post apocalyptic porcine themes. They even both have pig snouts on their gas masks!

However, Roadhog is another Overwatch (2016) character that is also a nod to a classic Samurai Shodown (1993) character. In this case it's very clear he's based off of Earthquake from his huge physique right down to his choice of weapon!
