This may not work for everyone, but if you are struggling with a drawing of a character or a scene, I often find that it takes three tries to get the best result. The first gets the idea on paper, the second screws everything up, the third is where you learn and refine what was good about the first.

I watched the Mario Movie again, and I enjoyed it more than the first time. I now have only three main complaints:
1. Bowser's lines were forgettable considering Jack Black's delivery
2. The licensed music should be replaced with the Mario game music from the credits
3. Cranky Kong is miscast

How many of you do art because you really just need to be able to see the characters you have created that are trapped in your head? I don't think anything drives me more than this.

I drew Mint sitting like this three different times, and as I have often found, the first is decent but sloppy, the second just comes out feeling wrong, and the third is the best. I like how this came out a lot, I will color it sometime!

I got a new scanner for Christmas, and I'm finally scanning some stuff that has been sitting around that phone photos weren't doing justice to.

Some of my kids haul this year. My son really begged for ninja turtle toys, and these are remakes of the original clasdic run from the 1987 cartoon! Stuffies are overtaking my daughter's room though... getting a bit out of hand!

Guys I've been watching Trollhunters on Netflix and I am in deep. The writing, pacing, style, and voice acting of this show... It is so good. I haven't been into a TV show like this in such a long time.

Taco Buldak with grilled slices of a whole pork belly I smoked recently on the Traeger. This was amazing... highly recommend the taco flavor Buldak! Its up there with Cream Carbonara and Curry flavors!

"Hot Honey" is such a dumb thing to me. Just buy regular honey and add hot sauce or cayenne pepper with the honey to what you are going to eat.
