Any playthrough of LttP when you finally get the golden sword, and the first time you swing it. The swing sound effect is so much deeper, and it just feels like it is cutting the air like hot butter!

An update on this:

I have downloaded and installed the Ocarina of Time recompilation to play up to the water temple for this one scene to take a screenshot in a high resolution to send to a printer for the shower curtain.

I am going to get this printed on a shower curtain
The entrance to the Water Temple from Ocarina of Time with the words “Water Temple” on the screen

I haven't played these until so long, but i definitely still listen to the OSTs! Especially love the final battle track against Blue in the first game.

When playing any Squaresoft game for the first time and having no internet guide to help or hint to you what was going to happen next in the story!

Muffins are better than cupcakes because they dont need icing to stand on their own. A good cupcake is one that is already fully enjoyable without icing.

I'd be grabbing my gold Ocarina of Time, Harvest Moon 64, and Ogre Battle 64 cartridges too!

Man these are all so cute

These are the ones I still miss!

I used to boot this up and challenge myself to see how fast I could grab the baby penguin, slide and launch mario directly toward where the mom was, and then fling the baby off the edge of the stage

It makes me so sad to see how many years of their lives these phenomenal musicians have gone without knowing how many lives their music touched. Thank goodness they do know now!

Those are some of the feelings behind it all, but the combination of fresh ingredients with slow cooked meats in so many dishes, and with so many peppers and so much corn for so many unique purposes... It is just such a truly special cuisine.

This is it! I'm not the only one who felt something when seeing this painting for the first time. It was painted by Carmen Lomas Garza from Kingsville, Texas; the lithograph is in both the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago and the Smithsonian Museum of American Art in Washington, D.C.

One of my school textbooks back in Junior High had a painting in it of a family making tamales together. I have never stopped thinking about that picture when I think about how food brings families together; when we make dumplings as a family, I also think of that painting.

I'm not sure exactly what flipped the switch for me, but I feel like I have not appreciated Mexican cuisine enough until recently. I think it is partly because there are resources and tutorials available online to learn so much more about it than ever before.

More omelette art. My son really likes turtles and he sleeps with a Bulbasaur stuffy.

Daughter colored my drawing and decorated with stickers to put in her binder for school!

I remember it not being anything at all like I hoped it would be. I seem to remember Dio was this super interesting character, and they just made him either go crazy or die offscreen? It never seemed like any characters were growing. It was just bad things happening.

I definitely watched Last Exile, and I dont even remember these characters. I must have repressed them out of memory exactly for this reason!

Oh wow, now I know to avoid that series!

Which story is this referring to?

This was why I almost gave up on the Tales series after playing Xillia. I'm not sure i was ever healed until Berseria finally gave a legit tragic/hopeful ending, and then when Arise finally gave a new solid love story.

To me, this is the best reason for a couple to fight for their love to work out. It always reads to me as poor plot design or as characters that are written to be ultimately unrelatable.
lithostylus.bsky.social
One of the tropes I absolutely cannot stand in storytelling is when a couple is clearly falling in love, but the end of the story forces them apart for a reason (usually contrived) related to their responsibilities to their people or nation.

I hate it!

I agree with you, it is probably my favorite track in the OST too. It's such an intense blend of tragedy and heroism, and the part where it gets syncopated near the end of the loop just gets my blood pumping everytime!
