Apprenticeships are a proven way to get folks connected with good-paying jobs and to help businesses hire talented employees. My LEAP Act would help young people entering the workforce and support Main Street by giving small businesses a tax credit when they hire apprentices.

SNAP is the most effective anti-hunger program in the nation with over 41 million people using it to purchase groceries in 2024. Currently, 77 of NCG’s 165 member co-ops are located in parts of the country designated as having low access to fresh foods and a low median household income by U.S. Department of Agriculture. Javier harvested mandarin oranges in Fresno, CA, for 5 years. The price per bin has remained unchanged at $65. It takes 3-4 hrs & 4,000 mandarines to fill one bin. On some days, they only make 1 1/2 bins, which isn't enough to pay their bills & feed their families. #WeFeedYoul
