I hope the NYPD gives Mamdani added protection. I’m guessing there are some extremists groups who may be extremely agitated that he won. Sadly, political violence is on the rise, so extra steps need to be taken with him and all new elected officials, especially in the more heated contests.

Maybe summer camps in flood areas should require kids to bring a CG approved life jacket that stays in the cabin & the camp has extras on hand. It they forget, the camp charges a fee & issues one. Add pull-down ladders attached to the roof. Then have flood drills. May help save lives in the future.

Living in the TX hill country & having so many friends & family all over the area, it’s gutwrenching to see all the posts in my news feeds of families impacted and their stories of loss & heroism. How counselors saved campers & neighbors saved each other. While others tell of entire families lost.😢
