When I was a kid - if I had to guess something like 8-10 years old - I found blank DIY ties at a craft store. I got super excited to buy one, so I could paint a tie for my dad for a gift, I think for father's day? I forget. (1/2)

It's perfectly ok to copy and trace to learn how something is done, and use references, like stock images. Just give credit when and where credit is due.

We absolutely should be able to do art just for the love of it and not for the money. But so long as money is the only means of survival, we must monetize our craft. Only the miserable and jealous say “get a real job”. Love it or hate it, work is work and you deserve to be compensated for it.

Multiple people gave my niece gifts that were clearly made with AI - including my own mother - and it made me sick to my stomach.
AI sucks and it is actively stealing from everyone, both in terms of ripping off creatives content and from everyone else by filling your life with soulless garbage.
