Hi all, I'm Liz an illustrator and comic colorist! 🖌️🌈
I tend to draw OCs and Trigun fanart, and I love comics.

I'm entering an art training arc, so expect me to yell and post about tutorials and cool things I find.

Rephrasing for clarity, but please do not use F&F (even blank ones) for commission payments; this is and ALWAYS HAS BEEN against ToS.

If you're getting paid for a service, use invoices.

F&F has no protections in place, especially for buyers, and using it to bypass fees is, again, against site ToS.

for me personally: art is the reason I find a point to being alive. and that sounds intense and dramatic but I really can't emphasize enough it's not an exaggeration. the despair and nihilism and pain the world offers all vanishes when I draw. nothing compares. absolutely nothing.

I've always been annoyed at the performative self-hatred a lot of artists/writers do of their own work. if you've followed me for a while, you've seen me counter-argue against it often. but I think now I want to impress it's praxis to talk about why creativity feels GOOD to do. because it does.

to most people, creativity in of itself has no reward. it's all grind, and usually capped off by burn out, what's the point. capitalism validates that belief. so why not just outsource the process and just get to the part they need

and that's horrifying, tragic, and deeply angering all at once

in a session with my therapist, she was commenting how she can't draw a stick figure -- then recalled a time when she could envision exactly what she wanted and it came out easily on the canvas. and she had no idea how she did it.

I had to entirely re-export this. I drew it nine years ago and the files were corrupted.

It was funny opening up the old files and seeing how different my priorities were and how many basic mistakes I was making.

This sequence was my baby back then and I remember being so proud of it.
