@swansonian.bsky.social I got my son to take this last night (he was in a better position than me)
A blue, floor-length curtain (or maybe just a curtain with blue light on it). There’s a microphone in front of it to the left and a projection on the curtain which says:
MARK WATSON
BEFORE IT OVERTAKES US.
The writing has a rippled effect because of the folds of the curtain.

I did not know triangle scarves were having a moment. I fear I’m not clued up, fashion-wise.

Some foods are definitely too much of a faff to make at home, but houmous (hummus?) is not one of them
A white plastic box on a grey kitchen top, filled with homemade houmous (which is topped with a few chick peas and smoked paprika)

She’s not wrong. Meera Sodha, in yesterday’s Guardian.
Imagine a world full of all-in-one options. One type of lightbulb! A single charger for all the gadgets! One battery size! One remote control! One type of Tupperware! Universal buttons! One insurance policy for life, death and everything in between! One pan lid for all the pans! Wouldn't that be great?

I recognise the co-headliners and one other (although I didn’t remember his name, had to look it up). I knew the name of another but didn’t recognise him from his picture.

Who knows? 🤷🏻‍♀️

How long before you’re supposed to notice a difference?

Glad you got something to get it sorted! I limped round Amsterdam once; every time I stopped my foot/ankle hurt.

Up there with Our Friends in the North, The Sopranos, The Wire and Mum, for me.

One of my all-time favourite shows. Haven’t seen it in a long time, mind.

Oh I react like that to bites as well. It’s nasty isn’t it.

Some great new artworks at this year’s Folkestone Triennial but I also liked this one from 2011
A white circle mounted on a metal stand with a view of the sea in the background. There are lots of different colours around the outside of the circle (grey, green, blue, black etc). Plaque next to colour wheel:

Spencer Finch
The Colour Of Water
2011
The artist visited Folkestone to observe the ever-changing tone and colour of the waters of the Channel over several weeks at different times through 2010. His response was to create this colour wheel to allow other people to spend time considering their own reactions to the constantly changing display. Like the Impressionist painters before him, colour, light, perception, place and the act of seeing are key preoccupations for the artist.

I’m not sure what that is?

This artist-designed ice lolly (with dipping sand!) reminded me of the lemon cheesecake my mum used to make when I was a child #FolkestoneTriennial
Lemon cream ice lolly with the top covered in “sand”. There are boats floating in Folkestone Harbour in the background.

Aaaaaaand relax….
Looking down on to a curved sandy beach and the sea. There are trees on either side of the photo; the sky is blue, with a few wispy white clouds.

Today is Aortic Dissection Awareness Day. AD is a time-critical condition with catastrophic outcomes if not diagnosed. Paul, like too many others, was misdiagnosed and it cost him his life. The ADCT exists to raise awareness of the condition… 1/?
