Plus it matches the court, which is superficially pleasing
Anyway she's through to the final, with the help of 16 aces, hopefully to face Anisimova

Tennis Deserves Better Than These Worthless Metrics | Defector
Recently, I have been watching a lot of tennis, and thus trying to learn about tennis. This, as it turns out, is very difficult, because tennis is not a sport that wants to teach you about itself. If…

The tennis tours' content conundrum
The tours limited what players and media can capture at events in order to protect their most important asset: access. But they've given us nothing to fill the void in return.

💯. Kyrgios is a toxic, abusive misogynist, and Sabalenka is cheerfully laundering his reputation
Clearly she doesn't get it, or doesn't want to get it. She has form here: her previous belittling of the women's game already made her part of the problem before this latest nonsense exacerbated it

I don't think anyone begrudges the "battle of the sexes" per se, even if some don't think it's a great idea. The problem is KYRGIOS. A known abuser of a woman. A well known bully on and off court. That's the problem. If she doesn't get/accept it, then maybe she's part of the problem too.

There is... nearly no one in the crowd in Riyadh for this Gauff-Paolini match.
Understand the huge investment the PIF has made in the prize money pool and in the tour itself – but the optics here are brutal. If it's staying in Riyadh for the next howevermany years, they have to solve this.

Haha hahaaa this table 😎
78.6 - Since the format's introduction in 1990, Valentin Vacherot (78.6%, 11-3) trails only Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic for winning percentage at ATP Masters 1000 events - minimum 10 matches. Unexpected.

Paolini vs Rybakina in Ningbo had a lot at stake for the year-end finals, potentially, and it lived up to the occasion. Great hitting from both, but Rybakina proves stronger. 6-3, 6-2

Muchova came this close 👉👈 to yielding a *5-2 lead in the deciding set against Kostyuk but gets it done, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.
She looks absolutely spent, calls the conditions "really brutal". Both players had unforced error counts in the 50s. But we advance 💪
