Yes, we indeed have a serious problem.
A tweet by Robert Reich reads:
“The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion. The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion. Read that back. When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.”

You’re not alone. You’re not broken. You’re still here. And when you protect these forces in yourself, you make it easier for others to protect them too. That ripple effect is how movements survive.

California just banned employers from forcing workers to pay a debt, fee, or penalty to leave their job.

Bosses have increasingly been trapping workers with debts incurred in training and other exploitative fees.

Now that's illegal in the nation's biggest state.

In her monumental work, Darya Tsymbalyuk insists the world must reckon with the full cost of the destruction in Ukraine — not just in hectares lost or tons of grain burned, but in the severed roots that once tied generations to the land they called home.

A little good news!

SCOTUS declined to review an appeal from Alex Jones. This left in place a lower court judge’s order that he pay $1.4 billion in damages to the families who lost children in a 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT.

Nearly every media outlet is announcing they will refuse to sign the Pentagon’s new rule stating they cannot report information if it’s not government “authorized.”

Even Newsmax is refusing to sign.

The crash of 1929 remains the most significant—and largely misunderstood—financial disaster in modern history. And few people today “perceive the remarkable parallels between that era and today’s political and economic climate,” Andrew Ross Sorkin writes.
